STUDIO HALMSTOULDUITOIONHALM
Studio Halm shapes calm, enduring interiors across Berlin, from private homes to hotels, restaurants and workspaces. Their previous site buried that range under a busy, generic gallery that felt nothing like the rooms they make.

We built a restrained editorial site in German and English that lets the spaces breathe: generous margins, quiet serif type, and slow reveals that show each room the way the studio designs it, from bright and pared-back to dark and enveloping. The site sells the studio's calm before a word is read.
Usually
- A wall of thumbnails
- Every project at once
- Styled, oversaturated rooms
- German or English, pick one
Mine
- One quiet editorial scroll
- Four rooms, chosen with care
- Warm, natural light
- German and English as one
Let the rooms breathe
Generous margins, quiet type and slow reveals, so each space reads as calmly on screen as it does in person. The restraint is the point: nothing on the page competes with the room.
A few rooms, chosen
Four projects instead of a full archive. Showing less signals a studio confident enough to let one room carry the page, and it keeps the visitor looking instead of scrolling past.
Two languages, one voice
German and English are built in from the first line, never bolted on. A Berlin studio then reads the same to a neighbour and to a client abroad, with nothing lost in the switch.
Calm is the brand
A paper palette, a high-contrast serif and unhurried motion. The site behaves the way the interiors feel, warm and considered, and in no rush to sell.
The pitch is one sentence
Most studios open with a manifesto. Here a single serif line does the positioning, with one short paragraph beneath it. Everything around it is space, so the words carry the weight.
Four rooms, not forty
Instead of a scroll of every job, four projects, each with a room and a place. The work is asked to carry the page on its own, and the restraint reads as confidence.
One voice, given the room
No carousel of five-star blurbs. One client, one quote at display size, one portrait. A single trusted voice, framed with the same generosity as the interiors.
